August 22, 2017 – Quincy, MA – Shields Health Solutions, a creator and growth accelerator of hospital-based specialty pharmacies nationwide, today announced Julie Napolitano has been appointed to the role of Director of Patient and Provider Satisfaction. Julie joins the company in its fourth year of operation as one of the fastest growing healthcare companies in America.
In her new role, Julie will oversee patient programs at all Shields partner hospitals and health systems, ensuring patient access to the full range of care services associated with a hospital-based and hospital-owned specialty pharmacy – patient liaisons, financial aid, prescription authorizations, insurance payments, home visits, patient training and more.
“Julie’s depth of experience in the business of healthcare and her long history of advocacy for patient health is a perfect combination for ensuring patients with chronic illnesses receive a higher level of coordinated, integrated care at the hospital specialty pharmacy,” said Matt Conway, Executive Vice President of Client Operations. “Having a specialty pharmacy on location is new for most hospitals and health systems. Prior to her role at Shields Health Solutions, Julie was engaged as a Clinical Specialist for Genentech, where she provided clinical information, managed care support and patient education to physicians, PAs, NPs, nurses and pharmacists in academic centers, community hospitals, and independent practices. Julie has also held roles in training, sales management, and marketing with AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson.
