Director of Ancillary Services & Diabetes Management
Bill is responsible for the design and implementation of integrated diabetes care and pharmacy programs for all of Shields hospital partners nationally. In that role, he provides continuous support to hospital partners to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes for patients with diabetes, program growth for all diabetes pharmacy programs and ongoing improvement of the comprehensive diabetes patient care model. Bill also facilitates strategic partnerships with third party organizations to deploy best-in-class diabetes solutions in the clinics where Shields works with health system partners.
Prior to Shields, Bill spent over 11 years in Washington DC, most recently serving as Director of Environment and Natural Resources for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, Executive Office of the President. Prior to that role, Bill served as Senior Advisor of International Science and Technology Cooperation at the U.S. Department of Energy, and worked for several years at the U.S. Department of Commerce as an International Economist.
Bill received his undergraduate degree from Oberlin College, graduating with a B.A. in Economics. His graduate degree, a Master of Public Policy, is from the University of Michigan, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
