Director of Implementation
Focused on patient centered care and seamless integration, Christine works with our healthcare partners to turn signed contracts into fully operational programs. In this role, Christine oversees the implementation of new specialty pharmacies and the roll out of new specialty pharmacy programs at our partnering hospitals.
Prior to joining Shields, Christine held roles of increasing responsibility at Stanford University Medical Center, the Cambridge Health Alliance, and Oliver Wyman. While a student at Stanford, Christine was an NIH-funded researcher with publications in peer-reviewed journals on cost, quality, and patient safety. She was also a Fellow at the Clinical Excellent Research Center where she designed and deployed higher value care models at leading health systems. Prior to graduation, Christine co-founded Footstep Labs, a software platform aimed at improving care quality and cost-efficiencies. The software platform was awarded Stage 1 & 2 innovation grants from VentureWell.
Christine earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master in Health Services Research (MS) from Stanford University School of Medicine. She was a Resident Physician and Clinical Fellow at Harvard University where she worked predominantly with immigrant populations. Christine is also a Fulbright Scholar and holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from Yale University.
