Senior Director of Marketing
As Senior Director of Marketing, John is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of all the organization’s marketing and advertising initiatives. John develops programs for omni-channel B2B lead generation for the entire organization, including market research, services development, marketing communications, advertising and public relations. John also oversees development of marketing programs on behalf of hospital partners, including channel-partner development and B2C marketing campaigns for many of the nation’s largest health systems.
Prior to joining Shields, John worked extensively as a consultant to investors, founders, C-Suite members of start-up and high-growth organizations in the healthcare and technology industries. In addition he served as an executive advisor to the State of Michigan and Fortune 50 organizations as a marketing and communications expert.
John graduated Babson College with an MBA in Marketing and Corporate Entrepreneurship. He also earned an Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. He and his family have represented The March of Dimes as family spokespeople for Massachusetts and he has also served as a featured speaker in business programs at colleges and universities across the country.
