Regional Vice President of Operations, Mid-Atlantic

Focused on patient-centered care and seamless integration, Laura works with our healthcare partners to turn signed contracts into fully operational programs. In this role, Laura oversees the implementation of new specialty pharmacies and the roll out of new clinical programs within existing specialty pharmacies at our partner health systems.

Prior to joining Shields, Laura worked as an engagement manager at a national healthcare consulting firm specializing in healthcare strategy, finance, and operational planning. During her time there Laura focused primarily on strategic planning, clinical program planning, facilities and operations development, and affiliation planning engagements. Her work included collaborating with academic medical centers, community health systems, and clinically integrated networks (CINs) across the country. Laura also has experience working for a large independent practice association (IPA) and accountable care organization (ACO) where she participated in disease management and patient‐centered medical home pilot projects and assisted in the evaluation of hospital and physician performance- and value-based contracts.

Laura holds a B.A. degree in Public Health Studies from The Johns Hopkins University, with concentrations in both Natural Sciences and Health and Policy Management.
